Part of becoming a parent includes a shift of your identity, accompanied by excitement, exhaustion, and lots of change! Many new parents benefit from being part of a supportive and nurturing group, where they can connect and discuss concerns, joys, and challenges, in a safe, non-judgmental setting. Newbies will explore the journey of parenthood, build confidence, and make new friends.

Kangas
Congrats, you’ve survived the first few months, and now you marvel at all of your baby’s new milestones. From smiling, cooing, learning to roll-over, and grasp objects, your baby is constantly growing and changing. Kangas offers support and advice, as baby is busy developing and discovering the world around them. We will discuss sleep expectations, introducing solid foods, baby-proofing, and growth and developmental milestones. We will incorporate an interactive circle-time with songs and age appropriate games. You can ask questions, share tips and ideas, and socialize while bonding with your baby. You will learn how best to adapt to all the amazing changes you and your baby are experiencing, make friends, and feel supported.

Seekers
For parent/caregiver, and baby (6-12 months)
For the first six months, your little one has relied on you to set them in motion. You have carried, bounced, rocked, and danced with them – now they are ready to move and explore on their own. Seekers offers support and advice now that your curious little one is busy scooting about and discovering the world around them. We will incorporate new songs into our interactive circle-time, and introduce new toys to improve gross motor skills, provide stimulation, and encourage play. You will learn to embrace all the amazing changes you and your baby are experiencing, make friends, and feel supported.

Here We Go Again
For second-time parents, and baby (0-6 months)
Welcome back! You’re already an experienced parent; now learn how to juggle another baby, along with the demands of a growing family. Here We Go Again addresses the common struggles of parenthood, and how best to manage your time and sanity with both an infant and toddler. In this second-timers’ (or more!) support group, you can ask questions, share tips and ideas, and socialize, while spending quality one-on-one time with your newest bundle of joy. Identify with other parents who are also adjusting to the joys and challenges of a growing family, as you and your baby make new friends, and feel supported.

Mini Explorers
Mini Explorers encourages your baby to explore their surroundings using sight, sound, and touch. In this sensory class, your baby will practice their gross motor skills crawling, climbing, and rolling over soft obstacles, and their fine motor skills grabbing, stacking, and sorting. They will discover and play with different shapes, textures, colors, and patterns. This class focuses on developing motor skills, encouraging play, and having fun!

Messy Artist
Messy Artist encourages your little Picasso to emerge and explore the process of creating art, with little concentration on the finished piece. Little ones will explore art with paint, textured objects, and unconventional materials. They will discover and play with sand, rice, water, play dough, and more. This class focuses on fostering creativity and sensory play, and not worrying about the mess!

Sign with Me
Long before babies can speak, they can understand many words, and want to communicate with you. Sign with Me teaches you and your little one basic signs related to baby’s care and day-to-day activities. Baby sign language encourages and enables babies to communicate their needs, and share how they feel and what they want.

Music with Me
Music with Me offers infants and toddlers a unique, multi-sensory opportunity to experience the joy of music through sight, sound, and touch. In our 45-minute music enrichment class, our music instructor plays and demonstrates a variety of musical instruments, sings, and exposes little ones to different sounds, beats, and rhythms. Infants and toddlers are encouraged to create their own music, have fun, and enjoy the many sounds of music!

Movers & Groovers
Movers and Groovers features a teacher-led activity, and incorporates interactive circle-time songs. Toddlers will hop, crawl, roll, and spin improving balance, coordination, and strength. Parachute, balls, scarves, and percussion instruments encourage participation and keep toddlers engaged and focused. This 45-minute enrichment class combines movement and music to help improve listening, social, and motor skills, while encouraging independence and boosting self-esteem.

Toddler Ballet
Toddler Ballet introduces toddlers to the foundation of ballet and movement in a simple and playful way. With less focus on ballet form and technique, we will concentrate on improving balance and coordination, developing listening and gross motor skills, and having fun! Together, dancers and caregivers will perform a series of dance movements, stretches, and exercises, while learning to follow directions and interact with peers.
Ballet shoes are encouraged, but not required.

Prenatal New Moms’ Group
For pregnant moms in their second or third trimester
We asked many new moms what they wish they had known before they had their babies. What would they go back and tell their pregnant selves if they could? Our Prenatal New Moms’ Group supports pregnant moms in their 2nd or 3rd Trimester. We address the surprises, challenges, and the common concerns which accompany becoming a mother, including all sorts of stuff “that no one ever tells you about!” All in a comfortable, non-judgmental environment, sharing the experience with other pregnant women.

Baby Basics
Learn Basic Newborn Care
Never held a newborn baby? Have no idea how to change a diaper, offer a bottle, or swaddle a baby? Baby Basics teaches you and your support person the basics of newborn care. We will discuss newborn safety, feeding & sleep expectations, bathing, and how to prepare your home for baby. We’ll demonstrate and practice safely holding, burping, diapering, swaddling, and soothing a baby. You will leave this workshop feeling more confident and excited for your baby’s arrival!
