Isn’t turning two simply the cutest? Well, it certainly was for us! This year Little Lovage Club hit the toddler years and turned two, and we knew we wanted a sweet celebration for our biggest supporters to join in the fun.
With our “Milk & Cookies” theme throughout, we welcomed our furry friend Cookie Monster! He was soft and cuddly, welcoming and snuggly, and even the littlest of the littles were intrigued by the big blue friendly face in the corner. A few kids even snuck over while their parents finished setting up the party!
Once the doors opened, our cookie and milk bar began. Offering special treats and nice cool organic milk kept small tummies happy, while parents and caregivers were able to sample delicious local almond milk from one of our favorite companies, Nectar and Green (don’t get me started on their vanilla bean flavor…).
After sampling the goods, we couldn’t help but keep on our cookie roll, and headed right over to the decorating table where our friends from Sensible Sitters helped facilitate fun and messy embellishments for some creative toddler sugar cookies. As if frosting them wasn’t novelty enough, you know the sprinkles were really the hit, and neatly packaged in cute wrapping meant we could take it on the road with us for snacking when we came down from our sugar high!
Surrounded by tasty treats and some Rody horses to ride on, I’m surprised we made it to all the stations, but when a three-year-old hears the talented balloon artist can recreate Ariel from the Little Mermaid, you better believe she flew across the room to see it for herself. And who could resist a cookie painted on one cheek and Cookie Monster on the other? I tell you, it is good to be a kid!
Tired and full, we were still sad to see this event come to a close, as it was a blast getting to wish Little Lovage Club a very happy second birthday! But we know we’ll be back for more fun and laughs soon, and hope you will too!
